Easter dress for Lily

Several days ago I posted this picture on Facebook asking for ideas on how to make it cuter...

This is what it looks like today...

 

I don't have thread that matches the flower border so it's just pinned right now.

I just pinned this bow on to make the front look less plain but I will be putting something cuter...I'm just not sure what it will be yet...

I got this knit fabric that has a pattern to make this jacket thingy. I am really not lovin' it. I think the sleeves are the reason I don't like it. In my mind, they were going to be soft, light, and flowy (is that a word?) I think they are too short and too big...maybe. Anyway, something is weird, and I think I'm just going to just start over with a plain knit fabric.
